A great way to sample Tenerife’s cuisine is to try one of the island’s local delicacies. The “papas arrugadas” with red and green “mojos” are a must but there are plenty of dishes such as the Canarian stew (mixed vegetables and meat) and grilled sardines to excite food lovers. Honey is a very popular dessert ingredient and the most unusual-tasting type of honey is obtained from endemic species such as the Teide broom.
