DESTINATIONS spain teneriffe Dining Guachinches

Guachinches

There’s a type of establishment on the Island known as a guachinche. These small, family-run eateries, often improvised on the terrace or in the garage of rural houses, only open at certain times of the year to offer wine from their own harvest accompanied by two or three traditional dishes at very affordable prices. Such establishments have deep roots on the Island, and islanders will be delighted to tell visitors how to find them. Our only recommendation: be sure to visit them.

Dining

The local gastronomy is a further example of Tenerife’s authenticity and certainly the most delicious. Dishes made from local produce create a marvellous fusion between traditional and avant-garde. Find more information and dining suggestions at: www.webtenerife.co.uk/activities/eat-drink/
